Lillie wins leadership award

Introducing the winner of the Tilly Aston Leadership Award - Lillie Giang!

Lillie Giang is an outstanding leader in our community. In 2021, the Yarra Ranges were badly affected by storms, leaving hundreds of homes destroyed and thousands of people without electricity. During this time, Lillie and her friends gathered food supplies, organised volunteers and cooked meals, which was a huge help for people who lost their homes or were unable to cook or store food due to the electricity outage.

Lillie recognised that food insecurity was an issue for many people across the outer east, and decided to continue her work in providing meals to those struggling. From there, Feed One Feed All, well known as FOFA, was born.

Under Lillie’s leadership, FOFA has grown to have over 60 volunteers, and sent out 27,000 meals to the Knox community last year alone, ensuring that so many people in our community are eating nutritious meals when they are in need.
