Glen Waverley 2018 Chinese New Year & Lantern Festival
Come and join us to celebrate the Glen Waverley's new year and lantern festival on Sunday 25 February 2018.
Apart from celebrating the beginning of the Year of the Dog, the festival is also celebrating its 10th Anniversary of success.
You will be find yourself entertained with dragon and lion stump dance, cultural dancing, amusement and rides and of course, Cooking Demonstrations with Asian Inspirations.
You will be tempted with various South Easten Asian cuisines from various Chefs and Cooks. Asian Inspirations will also be handing out Red Pockets to celebrate the new year.
1-1.45pm - Begin the Year of the Dog with a Prosperity Toss with a modern twist and sample our Homemade Dumplings and Garlic Steam Prawns - with Chef Lillie Giang and Joshua Ong a.k.a "Uncle Buffalo"
2-2.45pm - Authentic Thai - Learn to toss the tasty Phad Thai and cook up the mouthwatering Thai Beef Salad and Green Papaya Salad with our Thai cooks Stella Thamarangsi, Tass Philp and Chef Lillie Giang
3-3.45pm - Japanese Classic - See how easy it is to dish up the light airy Japanese Tempura Prawns and Vegetables with Daikon Salad - with former Nobu Japanese Chef Takako Ueshiba.
4-4.45pm - Indonesian Favourites - Our Indonesian Cooks will tempt your tastebuds with their tasty Satay Chicken Skewers and authentic Indonesian Gado Gado Salad - with Wilta Haling and Vicky Prapas.
