Glen Waverley Chinese New Year Festival 2019

Asian Inspirations and The Food Affectionist are back for more cooking fun at the Glen Waverley Chinese New Year this Sunday 17th February 2019.

Join us for Yee Sang tossing to kick start the year of the Golden Pig and watch Uncle Buffalo “wok and toss” his Sichuan noodle dish whilst our Japanese Cook dish out her Agedashi Fish.

Be the first to volunteer for our friendly Dumpling Competition and enjoy some great dishes on us, all happening at the Asian Inspirations Culinary Hub.

Celebrating Lunar New Year 2019 @ Crown with Asian Inspirations

Welcome in the Year of the Pig with events and celebrations across Crown. 

Join us at 4pm this Friday 8th February for the Yee Sang Prosperity Toss to kick start the year of the Golden Pig. Chopsticks skill required!!!

Don’t miss the hustle and bustle of Lunar New Year celebrations with the Hawkers’ Bazaar along the Crown Riverwalk.
 
Explore the offerings at the Hawker-style food market while roving entertainers showcase a range of incredible multicultural talent, including roving Cai Shen and Fu Lu Shou displays.

Asian Inspirations will be returning again as well. We’ll be giving away prizes, selling authentic Asian products and having free cooking demos with Chef Lillie Giang, Chef Kinsan and Karen Chan.

Frighten away evil spirits and invite good luck this Lunar New Year with five of our fire breathing dragons, each painted by street artists with their own unique style, along the Crown Riverwalk.
 
Plus, don’t miss the spectacular fireworks display on Saturday 9 February at 9:45pm.

Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival At Crown 21 - 23 September 2018

Come along and and join us at the Asian Inspirations Culinary Hub along the Crown Riverside to celebrate one of the most important events on the Asian festive calendar.

There will be free entertainment including Asian cooking shows, music, acrobatic acts, children lantern making workshops, children’s lantern parade joined by the festival’s roving stilt walker - ‘Rain Drop’ and ‘Dream Bear’

Knox Festival 2018 - Flavours of Knox - Gastronomical Extravaganza 3 & 4 March 2018

In this year’s Knox Kitchen, touch, taste and smell take centre stage! The focus of this gastronomical extravaganza will be on the Flavours of Knox. Local and cultural cuisine, local foodies and business will invite the community to come in and sample their goods and wares while rocking the wok and finessing the fry pan. Flavours of Knox is where to go to ‘activate’ your tastebuds!
